with Jessica Jay and Allison Airavata
September 7-14th 2025
Get ready for an aerial silks and sling retreat like no other! Perfect for intermediate and advanced aerialists, who want to learn thrilling tricks, refine their style, and master choreography—all set against the stunning Umbrian countryside.
About the Retreat
Join Jessica Jay and Allison Airavata this September for an immersive aerial retreat in Italy tailored for intermediate and advanced aerialists seeking to deepen their artistry and style on aerial silks and sling. This retreat is designed to elevate your aerial journey, combining new skills and sequencing with the art of choreography—a creative method to enhance movement quality and personal expression in aerial practice.
While choreography is a foundational tool in the dance world, used to shape and refine an artist’s unique style, it remains an often-overlooked approach within the aerial community. This retreat invites you to tap into the transformative potential of choreography, expanding your movement vocabulary and enriching your own aerial style.
In this retreat you will not only learn new and unique tricks and sequences on fabric, but also how to add flair and choreographic movement to the skills. In this program we will work on performing impressive tricks while enhancing the expressive details within each trick to bring greater depth and artistry to the performance.
Participants should feel confident in inverting, climbing, and holding an aerial hip key for the duration of the retreat.
